Socketeer is a free tool from Reaching Random LLC that turns a table of socket measurements into 3D-printable Gridfinity storage trays. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we do not do with it. We try to keep it short because we collect very little.
What we collect
To sign you in and store your work, we keep:
- Account identity. When you sign in with Google, we store the basic profile Google shares with us — your email address, name, and profile image — along with your account tier and onboarding state. We never see or store a password; authentication is handled entirely by Google.
- Socket sets. The socket measurement tables you create or import are saved to your account so you can reuse them.
- Layouts. The tray layouts you design — group structure, placement, and per-socket settings — are saved to your account.
That is the full list. We do not currently collect usage analytics, behavioral tracking, or telemetry. If that changes, we will update this page before turning anything on.
How your data is stored and used
Your identity, socket sets, and layouts are stored in Google Firestore and scoped to your authenticated account — they are used only to render the app for you and to generate the trays you ask for. We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for advertising.
Third-party services
We rely on Google for sign-in and on Google Cloud (Firestore) to store your data. Their handling of your information is governed by Google’s own privacy policy.
Your choices
You can delete the socket sets and layouts you create at any time from within the app. To remove your account entirely, contact us through reachingrandom.com.
